Alright, folks, let’s gather ’round and chat about what’s buzzing down in Georgia’s football world. Turns out, a couple of young guns from the roster, Nitro Tuggle and Marques Easley, are eyeing the exit and planning to enter the transfer portal. Why, you ask? Let’s just say some, shall we say, thrilling driving adventures have left them high and dry with team activities.

Nitro Tuggle—cool name, right? Just sounds fast. Turns out he was living up to his name off the field a bit too much. This redshirt freshman wide receiver took his ride up to a thrilling 107 mph on the 10 Loop, allegedly, and got himself charged with reckless driving and speeding. Now, with a solid 34-yard season last year, Tuggle’s eyeing new gridiron pastures.

Then we have Marques Easley, another redshirt freshman, this time from the big ol’ line up front. Easley didn’t just push the pedal a little too hard—his driving escapades included a 2021 Dodge Challenger, a power box, and a couple of cars caught in the aftermath in front of the Athens Ridge Apartments. Yikes! His court date is set for May 9, and Tuggle’s right behind him with a slot on the court calendar for May 19.

Athens must have been quite the pitstop for both guys, but don’t you worry—they’re just redshirts, which means the transfer portal still calls their names with plenty of options. Plus, less playing time last season means there’s minimal tape, leaving plenty of tantalizing potential for other teams looking to boost their roster.

So, whether Nitro and Marques find their new teams or decide to shore up with a regimen of Sunday drives at 45 mph, we’ll surely keep our eyes peeled for where they land. Because in the world of college football, there’s always another team, another shot, and hopefully, another ride to grow into a story worth telling.
